Let’s forget about the second half of this drink’s name for a moment: It doesn’t remotely resemble a classic Martini. As for the first part, it’s said by some that it’s creator, bartender Douglas Ankrah, thought it was what a porn star would order; other stories hold that he was inspired by the smell of a exotic dancers perfume.
In any case, this crowd-pleasing combination of vanilla and passion fruit accompanied by a shot of prosecco, which has spread far from its origins at London’s Townhouse bar in the early 2000s to be adopted by bars the world over, it’s certainly become a star.
Ingredients:
- 25ml of vanilla flavoured vodka
- 25ml or Passoã
- 12ml passionfruit puree
- 25 ml pineapple juice
- 12ml ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 25ml shot of prosecco, chilled
- Garnish: 1/2 passion fruit
How To:

Add all ingredients except sparkling wine into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled.

Strain into a chilled coupe glass

Garnish with a passion fruit half.

Serve with a sparkling wine sidecar (on the side).
